About Me

My name is Omar D. Rivero and I am the owner and principal photographer for BluesEdge Lane Studios. Photography, music and astronomy are the greatest passions in my life. Though I made a career as an Information Technology professional, I have also been a photographer in some form most of my life.

While I've always loved photography, my passion for it as a profession was re-kindled by astronomy. I began with a small DSLR taking pictures of the moon, planets, and eventually deep-sky objects like galaxies. I then decided to study the history and craft of photography and enrolled in several classes. Joining organizations like the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, Professional Photographers of America and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals gave me the opportunity to study techniques to become a better photographer and business owner.

I've had the great fortune to learn from several exceptional mentors and advisors over the course of my career. And I want to give something back to my community. And so I created BluesEdge Lane Studios. A company that combines my skills and experience with a passion for photography. The foundation of this company is built on the guiding principles of honesty, integrity and service. You have many choices to fill your creative needs.
